Sure not. The very spezial climatic zone of Armenime is favoured.
There are major differences in the climate between the north and
the south of the island. The north is more humid, it is very much
more cloudy, Therefore it is much richer in vegetation.
The high mountains that form the island function as a weater dividing
frontier between the north and the south. Humid clouds bring rain
to the north but cannot pass the ridge to the south of the island.
The south therefore is very much dryer with a much more comfortable
humidity.
A stay at the direct seaside is not for everybody as the very humid
sea breeze with lots of iodine may lead to discomfort. For patients
suffering from asthmatic illnesses or rheumatic pains a stay a littler
further back into the country may be preferable.
The western coast line in the vicinity of Armenime from 150 meters
above sea level to 250 meter above sea level is a very special climatic
sone marked down as such in all important military and official
maps of Tenerife. This climatic zone has unites various characteristics
which are nowhere else combined in such a way.
We call it the six sun climate.
